I am an Assistant Professor at Augustana University, Sioux Falls, South Dakota where I teach Genetics and Introductory Biology courses. I also conduct research and mentor undergraduate students. My research program utilizes phenotypic, transcriptomic, and bioinformatics tools to characterize the genetic basis of plant architecture traits of agronomic importance in sorghum. I also study the genetic basis of soybean resistance to soybean aphids and conduct weed management studies.
