1. Program Director, Paralegal Studies Center of Excellence Legal and Public Safety

   As Program Director of Paralegal Studies at Alvin Community College, I provide leadership and oversight for the program while continuing to teach a diverse student population in both classroom and online settings. My goal is to ensure an engaging, inclusive, and practice-ready learning environment that prepares students for successful legal careers.In this role, I develop and implement program policies, manage accreditation and reporting requirements, and collaborate with faculty, department chairs, and deans to design, schedule, and assess courses. I oversee curriculum development, initiate changes through the Curriculum Committee, and align instructional strategies with current industry standards and institutional goals.Beyond academics, I coordinate the Paralegal Studies Advisory Board, build partnerships with law firms, agencies, and community stakeholders, and actively recruit students through events, speaking engagements, and community outreach. I also manage the program budget and participate in faculty recruitment, mentorship, and evaluation.At the core of my work is student success.
