WORK HISTORY
Buldings and Energy Analyst and be 305 Lead @Miami-Dade County
Green building policy and benchmarking expert for the County, Marta leads the flagship program on energy and water efficiency for large buildings in the community. From iconic buildings like the Miami Beach Convention Center and Vizcaya to a small nonprofit headquarter, Marta has worked with tens of buildings of different size, age, and use. One of the most successful components of the BE305 Challenge has been the free energy and water assessments conducted by the University of Miami Data Analytics Lab within the College of Engineering. Led by an engineering professor, graduate and undergraduate students have had the opportunity to conduct energy and water audits in commercial and residential buildings thus training to be the green workforce of the future. Conservation measures identified during the assessment amount to over $1 million in potential savings, with average dollar savings of per building per year.
