About Marshanah T.
Marshanah T. is a data and information professional currently working in the Libraries, Archives, and Museums field. Among one of the first graduates from both the Informatics program and the integrated master\'s in Information Studies program at The University of Texas at Austin, she was also the first Inaugural Recipient of the UT iSchool Alumni Scholarship for BIPOC Students. Her accomplishments have been recognized in internationally renowned library and archives publications such as the ALA Connect by the American Library Association (ALA) and the Archival Outlook by the Society of American Archivists (SAA). Previously, she has interned at the Smithsonian Institution where she planned and developed content for the digital Era of Segregation exhibition on the NMAAHC’s Searchable Museum website. Downs-Jones Library Media & Technical Services Department Serves as the private HBCU\'s lead library systems administrator, appointed departmental webmaster, and academic research librarian responsible for cataloging, collection management, web development (using bricksbuilder.io), content development and editing in the LibGuides (LibApps/SpringShare), overseeing library technology, reporting patron data usage statistics of electronic resources, supporting patrons via virtual chat and in-person at the front reference desk as needed, sending and receiving interlibrary loans, creating/editing loan map policies in the backend of the OCLC WorldCat Configuration system, and acting as a liaison for library vendors to provide access to e-resources subscriptions (e.g. EBSCO, JSTOR, ProQuest, etc.) at the DJL.
