Dr. Marshall Wm. Conley is a Canadian academic and expert in peace studies and international relations. He has served as a Senior Professor of Human Rights, International Organization, and Peace Studies at Acadia University in Nova Scotia, Canada. In addition to his academic role, Dr. Conley has been actively involved with the Canadian Commission for UNESCO, contributing to initiatives focused on peace and human rights, as well as various international organisations and NGOs. Throughout his career, Dr. Conley has authored over 150 publications and professional papers and has been cited more than 1700 times, reflecting his extensive research and commitment to advancing understanding in his fields of expertise. His work emphasizes the importance of peace as a process and a mode of behavior, aligning with United Nations principles on peace and human rights. In October 2015, Dr. Conley was appointed a Fellow of the World Confederation of Productivity Science, an honor bestowed upon only 500 individuals worldwide, recognizing his significant contributions to the field.
