About Marsha Jean-Baptiste

There are unique challenges of being a first-generation college student and American. I plan to use the tenacity and dedication from overcoming these obstacles in my ever-progressing legal journey. As an Indianapolis native, I am eager to return to this area to pursue a legal career and contribute my talents to communities in need. However, I have not limited my prospects to a specific city/state and am open to relocating across the globe with priority given to opportunities in Washington, DC.Though my most recent legal experience is in private law, I remain passionate about civic engagement and community service. As an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorortiy, Inc, I continue to do work in the Bloomington area while in law school. I strive to be a leader in my community and work toward uplifting the historically excluded. I prioritize service and consciously look to build a career with employers who do the same.As I continue to grow in the area of law, mentorship, and public speaking, I am eager to expand my network.
