About Matt Marovich

From teacher to salesman, from finance to international entrepreneurial management, from civilian to military (and back again), spanning an impressive array of career paths. I have done a bit of everything and excelled at all of it. As an Eagle Scout and scholar-athlete, I was often called \"Renaissance Man\" by teachers and coaches growing up. At a young age straight out of grad school (M.Ed. from Rutgers University), I started my own business in financial services.I have published over 25 books and articles: Palgrave Macmillan, SAGE, Emerald, Information Age Publishing (IAP), CHOICE Magazine, The Reverse Review, IGI Global, & the Academy of Management.I served briefly in the US Air Force, but I belong in the business sector. I am taking steps toward my 2nd master\'s degree, a double-MBA in Finance & Management. Eventually I plan to earn my Ph.D. in Entrepreneurship and publish several more books and scholarly articles during my retirement. in essence, passing on what I have learned and studied over the course of my life and career to help future generations.I was one of the top Reverse Mortgage Consultants in the entire nation. My status and diligence led me to a management position with the #1 company in the HECM industry. I published multiple articles in our industry magazine The Reverse Review, all of which were highly praised by peers and practitioners. Later I became the Client Relations Manager for one of the top mortgage brokers (now banker also) in NJ where I continue to thrive.I\'m a world-class networker & master investor - the most multi-talented person I know. I\'m blessed with my core group of amazing colleagues, partners, and friends who all synergize together in our joint ventures.Specialties: Public Speaking, Corporate Education, Management, Teaching, Coaching, Sales, Marketing, Computers, Social Media and E-Media, E-Commerce, Entrepreneurship, Logistics, Inventory, Music, Fitness & Body Building, Sustainability and Green Initiatives. On a sidenote, I am quite a connoisseur of logic puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, sudokus, 3-D puzzles, whatever! I have an almost uncanny ability to solve them and I rather enjoy them. Strangely this has made me an incredibly effective project manager.

   Once an Eagle Scout, always an Eagle Scout! I spent my entire childhood and adolescence involved in Boy Scouts, and I cannot possibly overstate how much this shaped my character as an adult.(Not to mention the wide array of skills I have!) I was promoted to the rank of Eagle Scout in April Among the many plaques, awards, and other pomp and circumstance at my Eagle Scout Court of Honor: the Bergen County Executive was in attendance, presenting me with a framed authentic certificate declaring January 9th to be \"Matthew G. Marovich Day\" as a local holiday in Bergen County. I also received a special plaque from Pres. Clinton in congratulations for outstanding service and citizenship. I was involved in countless food drives, clothing drives, and other community service projects over the years - this helped shape my philanthropic proclivity as an adult today. Other awards received include: Arrow of Light, World Conservation Award, Mile Swim, Parvuli Dei/Ad Altare Dei, Eagle Palms (Bronze, Gold, Silver), and 43 total merit badges. I served as the Senior Patrol Leader for Troop 86 - Tenafly for 6 years and the Troop Historian for 7 years. Today I am one of the Assistant Scoutmasters, helping to continue the tradition and pass on the legacy through younger generations.
