With a dedicated focus on quality and excellence, I contribute to clinical care, program compliance, and strategic initiatives designed to establish Memorial Health as a future ECMO Center of Excellence.Buckeye Transplant Solutions assists hospitals by facilitating organ transplant coordination through technology that enhances EHR integration and organ-offer screening processes. My contributions have improved organizational effectiveness in organ procurement and allocation procedures, increased the accuracy of offer management, and streamlined operations. These efforts align with the mission to enhance care for organ transplant recipients and to improve transplant outcomes.

   Demonstrating a commitment to quality and excellence, the Coordinator actively promotes SMH as a Center of Excellence in ECMO. In conjunction with ECMO leadership, the Coordinator guarantees that the ECMO program adheres to all ELSO standards and recommendations. Responsibilities include providing direct clinical care and participating in patient rounds. The Coordinator embodies the Memorial Health Values of Safety, Integrity, Quality, and Stewardship, which underpin the organization’s mission and vision.The Coordinator ensures that patient care practices are consistent with institutional policies, procedures, and guidelines. They initiate and maintain effective communication and collaboration with authorized ECMO providers, the care team, and bedside nurses to develop and evaluate individualized care plans for each patient. The Coordinator actively engages in daily multidisciplinary rounds.The Coordinator adeptly recognizes and diagnoses changes in patient conditions, evaluates alternative treatment options, makes evidence-based recommendations, implements selected interventions, and assesses outcomes, communicating findings to the team. They coordinate ECMO services in partnership with the ECMO Medical Director and provide clinical consultation regarding ECMO interventions to approved providers.In addition, the Coordinator develops and implements quality improvement initiatives for the ECMO program, manages registry data submission to ELSO, and participates in systematic reviews of ECMO cases alongside the Medical Director. They are responsible for data collection and entry into the ELSO registry, collaborating with a clinical data specialist. The Coordinator also designs and disseminates education and training materials, including competency checklists, to ensure staff proficiency as approved by the ECMO team.
