As Director of Communications, I am responsible for managing all internal and external communications for CVSD including: strategic communications planning; media and community relations; district spokesperson and community liaison; web site and social media management; district branding and publications; employee and parent communications; and crisis communications.Serving in an educational leadership role, I am on the administrative team, cabinet and executive team, reporting directly to the superintendent as a communication liaison for the entire district. CVSD is the second largest district in Spokane Washington and the 9th largest employer in Spokane County, covering an 80-block area with 14,500 students, 1,950 staff and 30 schools and learning centers. Additionally I served on the Partners Advancing Character Education Board of Directors, Executive Board, Awards Committee Chair and Marketing Committee for nearly a decade, in order to advance and promote character education.
