Initially responsible for creating policies and procedures for Choice Mortgage to begin Delegated Underwriting in house. Responsible for hiring and training of new underwriters and ongoing support. Ensure all Underwriters are up to date on all Underwriting changes and complete qualitycontrol reviews of all Underwriters quarterly. Provide feedback and coaching. Manage any post‐closing defects and provide cures accordingly. Provide training opportunities as needed. Worked with all agencies (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, USDA, and VA) to address unique situations and provide guidance to the Underwriting and Sales team. Fully support the sales team with review of loan scenarios and provide guidance on structuring to increase production. Load balance pipelines daily and for coverage of absences. Responsible for working with credit policyto ensure loan quality is high and all loans are salable addressing any individuals with defects and creating action plans for improvement.
