ABOUT MARK ZAFRA

Mark Zafra leads global strategic sourcing, purchasing, travel, accounts payable, and payroll at Scale AI. He has more than twenty years of sourcing and supply chain experience driving innovation and change in operations, business transformation, information technology, and management. Mr. Zafra is successful at mentoring diverse teams to achieve extraordinary business results. His prior roles were Chief of Procurement at LiveRamp (LiveRamp is the data collaboration platform trusted by forward-looking global companies to connect customer data from anywhere to everywhere) and Twitter’s Head of Global Strategic Sourcing, where he lead the enterprise-wide sourcing transformation for all expenditures at Twitter, Inc. Mr. Zafra joined Twitter in 2015 after serving as Chief Procurement Officer for Allianz Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company. There, he oversaw sourcing responsibility for all supplier spend. Prior to that role, Mr. Zafra led the Strategic Sourcing for Technology at McKesson, a Fortune 10 company. He also led global teams in supply chain (direct procurement) of technologies and services at HP, Agilent Technologies, Verigy, and Bookham Technology. Mr. Zafra is active in San Francisco’s nonprofit community, and was recently on the Board of Directors for the Edgewood Center for Children and Families for six years. He previously was on the Boards for the Leukemia Society of Greater San Francisco, GiveADayGlobal, and EachOne/ReachOne and currently volunteers with AIDS Lifecycle and American Cancer Society. Additionally, Mr. Zafra served two years in the Peace Corps in Southeast Asia. Mr. Zafra holds an MBA in Supply Chain from Arizona State, a Masters of International Management (MIM) from Thunderbird School of Global Management, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Trinity College.
