ABOUT MARK MILLER
At Osborn I lead the mechanical team at our 25-person Columbus office. We’ve designed and implemented a number of exciting projects for Westerville City Schools (Westerville South addition and renovations, Minerva Park new elementary, Annehurst renovation) and The Ohio State University (Ohio Stadium Northwest Suites, Frank Stanton Veterinary Clinic, numerous Wexner Medical Center projects) along with a variety of commercial, industrial, and mixed use projects. I’m proud to be part of a fantastic MEP/FP/C/S/Tech team at Osborn and look forward to our continued growth in Columbus! In my previous role I was a Sr. Mechanical Engineer and Concept Designer for Worthington Energy Innovations, LLC. In this position I developed and implemented Energy Conservation Measures to improve the efficiency of industrial facilities and processes. I executed a number of projects for various clients in industrial (manufacturing, automotive, food & beverage) and commercial (healthcare, government) applications. I was involved throughout the complete life cycle of my projects, from the initial project feasibility analysis through design, construction, commissioning, and M&V. My job responsibilities afforded me experience in both mechanical and electrical/controls engineering as well as software/programming, including PLC programming. After graduating from the University of Central Florida with my M.S. I spent two and a half years with Siemens Wind Power as a Loads and Certification Engineer. I analyzed wind turbine loading and designed steel and concrete towers and foundations. I obtained certifications in accordance with international (IEC 61400) and local (state/province building code) codes and standards. While still in college, I spent three terms on co-op while receiving my B.S, two at an Marathon Petroleum Company oil refinery in Catlettsburg, KY and one with Moog Aircraft in East Aurora, NY. I worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at UCF\'s Center for Advanced Turbine and Energy Research (CATER) from January 2010 through March 2011. In conjunction with Siemens Energy, Inc. I managed research projects for CATER. The focus of my study was gas turbine cooling, with specific experience in impingement cooling and film cooling. I completed my M.S.M.E. in December 2011 and published my thesis,\"Heat Transfer in a Coupled Impingement-Effusion Cooling System\". Software Experience: Revit, AutoCAD, Carrier HAP, Trane Trace, Automated Logic products, Rockwell products (e.g. RSLogix), MATLAB, VBA and C/C++ Programming, Microsoft Office Products
