About Mark Watermasysk

I grew up playing sports from grade school through college. Being a reliable and dependable teammate and leader has always been my nature - it’s who I am. When my family and I spent three years living and working in Switzerland from 2005 through 2008 I learned how to appreciate and respect the differences in people and culture. This experience broadened my ability to see things from multiple points of view which strengthened my capacity to manage challenging situations with composure and ease. I am grateful for that learning experience.Today I combine balance and perspective with my competitive drive to make a big impact in all facets of my life, both professionally and personally. I value relationships with my clients, colleagues and family, focusing on understanding their issues to support them on the task at hand.I trust the teams I lead. I give them the framework and destination but also the space to figure out their path to problem solving. This requires a lot of patience on my part, which is not always easy. However, the result is a responsive and flexible team that has breadth and depth. While I may coach and lead my teams at PwC, one thing I do not have patience for is coaching my kids in their sports. That “deliver-your-best” competitive passion that I have and desire to provide feedback is best coming from the sidelines, bleachers or most often on the car ride home. Today, I still need to find a sports outlet, be it golf, basketball, a Tough Mudder or some sort of endurance event – I still want to compete. It’s who I am. At PwC my primary focus is working within the Private Equity Sector. My focus is primarily with private-equity funds working with their investment and operating teams to execute deals and create value within their portfolio companies leveraging the broad capabilities of PwC\'s multidisciplinary business. In addition I work with international clients leveraging my experience overseas and in the U.S. I enjoy working with both private and public companies as well as those engaged in capital market transactions.
