ABOUT MARK VENTRONE

Enterprising, versatile, enthusiastic, determined and tireless professional.With over three decades of experience in the telecommunications industry, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the field. My career journey has been diverse, starting at Italy\'s prominent service provider, TIM, as a network tester. I subsequently moved to Alcatel-Lucent (now Nokia), a global technology leader, where I refined my technical expertise as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the fixed network domain, while also serving as a technical pre-sales specialist.Currently, I serve as a Lead Consultant & TPM of the esteemed team at Reply, one of Italy\'s leading consultancy firms, where I continue to drive innovation and deliver impact solutions in the telecommunications domain, especially into the softwarization of the network.My passion for emerging technologies and proactive mindset, shape my professional approach. In recent years, I have focused on network security, particularly in the energy sector, with a specialization in OT Security. More recently, I have been exploring EU NIS Regulations, with a keen interest in their impact on telecom operators. Currently, I am working on a project that aims to develop an edge-cloud continuum framework that leverages advanced AI techniques, including generative AI, to create self-optimizing and self-healing infrastructures, ensuring efficient workload and energy management across distributed edge sites.I am dedicated to contributing to the advancement of the industry through strategic insights, innovative solutions, and a relentless commitment to excellence.My belief is based on the fact that if something is not impossible then it is possible.
