ABOUT MARKUS JOSEF GIESA
Energy professional with more than a decade of experience in the development and realization of renewable energy projects. My work focuses on the planning and delivery of complex energy infrastructure, particularly in wind power, solar PV, battery storage and hybrid power plants. With a Master’s degree in Renewable Energies and a diploma in Industrial Engineering and Management, I combine strong technical understanding with economic and strategic project development expertise. Over the past years, I have led large interdisciplinary project teams and managed complex development processes from early-stage concept and site development through permitting, stakeholder coordination and project realization. My projects involve collaboration with engineering teams, investors, municipalities and regulatory authorities. A key part of my work is stakeholder management and strategic negotiation. I regularly work with private sector partners, municipal and regional political stakeholders, authorities and landowners to align interests and enable the successful development of energy projects. I am particularly motivated by projects that contribute to the transformation of energy systems and the expansion of renewable infrastructure. In my next career step, I aim to take on greater leadership responsibility, guiding teams and projects that actively shape the energy transition.
