A vibrant Ukrainian civil society can make a major contribution to recovery and reconstruction, even while the fighting continues. This requires strong, well-networked civil society organizations in Ukraine. After studying history and political science in Mainz and Riga and working at several universities in Latvia and at the “Jews in Latvia” museum in Riga, I have been working at Robert Bosch Stiftung GmbH in Stuttgart since 2002. I am currently Vice President “Special Division Ukraine” and responsible for the foundation\'s extraordinary engagement in this country.
