Our energy for a sustainable life” That’s our purpose statement at RWE. As CEO, I’ll be working with #TeamRWE on the energy transition – one of the greatest challenges of our time. We have over employees on four continents and are one of the leading providers of renewable energies worldwide. I’ve been working for the company since 2012, from 2016 to April 2021 as CFO and now as CEO of RWE AG. Our 125-year history has always been defined by transformation and our aim to advance the energy sector as a driver of society. Protecting the climate is high on our agenda. In line with this, we have fundamentally realigned our company towards renewable energies, storage and hydrogen. At the same time we are taking a responsible approach to phasing out conventional energy sources. We are all working together to achieve one aim: To make RWE carbon-neutral by 2040.
