ABOUT MARK SWADLING

With a HND in Building Services Engineering and a wealth of experience working in the electrical contracting industry I have worked my way up from Electrical Apprentice to Director in a short space of time.In 2008, I joined Darke & Taylor as a senior member of the management team in the Estimating & Design Department, managing some of the company’s most prestigious projects. In 2011 I was promoted to a Director and am now responsible for running a number of projects and the management of the Contracts Department. Darke & Taylor can trace its history back to Oxford’s first electrical engineering company. Over the last 50 years the company has developed in response to the rapidly changing requirements and technical advances in the electro-technical industry whilst maintaining a commitment to direct employment and developing the careers of its valued staff. The Company operates in a number of key strategic construction market sectors including super-prime residential, public sector, universities and commercial office space. Specialists in the design and delivery of exceptional electrical installations, capabilities include mains power and backup systems, bespoke and low energy lighting, fire and security systems, IT and smart-home network cabling, and renewable energy technology. Additional services include test, inspection, commissioning and facilities maintenance to help customers safely manage the critical systems that keep their premises operating and protected.I am passionate in delivering a project on time and to budget. I thrive on the dynamic aspect of my role, adapting too many different situations and project types quickly and efficiently. As a custodian of Darke & Taylor’s future, I enjoy passing on my knowledge, management skills and experience to other members of the team, trusting that this will promote the Darke & Taylor way throughout the whole company, providing a high quality service to our valued clients.
