In particular, we specialise in advising Senior Management Teams when their businesses are being bought, sold or restructured by Private Equity Sponsors. We also specialise in advising Founders, Senior Manager individuals and Non-executive Directors in Private Equity contexts. No other team of lawyers in the City of London (or anywhere else in the world) can match our skill-set, knowledge base or network of contacts.In the first three years since founding PriestleySoundy, we have been lucky enough to win (through word-of-mouth referrals) over 130 mandates and to have worked on deals worth well in excess of £70 billion.Private Equity is our passion. Thank Goodness for Private Equity! I sometimes wonder what sort of career I would have had as a Corporate lawyer if Private Equity hadn\'t taken off shortly after I started work in 1987. I suspect it would have been much less enjoyable, far less successful and a whole lot shorter. As it is, I have loved every minute of my legal career. What makes it so special is the people: the clients I work for and the colleagues I work with. Every deal we do is different and provides more opportunities: to meet new people, to increase my expertise and to deepen my experience. And I still get such a kick from working on a successful deal.
