WORK HISTORY
Director of Film and Animation @Investis Digital
London, GB
My current role as Director of Film and Animation involves leadership in four areas: 1) Growing our film-making offer. Whether it is drama, documentary or animation I have overall responsibility for all of Investis Digital’s film and animated output. As such, part of my role is to interrogate client briefs, work across teams to ideate, innovate and improve the quality of the work we do, helping it to achieve the greatest possible impact. 2) Developing our ‘live’ capabilities. Demand for ‘live’ content has grown significantly since 2020 and a portion of my role is to work with our IDLive team to develop and deliver TV-style live executions for our global client base. 3) Turbocharging our ongoing content offer. Our ongoing content and social media offer has been enhanced and accelerated by the creation and delivery of productised bite-size packages of film, illustration and animated content. 4) Enhancing our digital story-telling capabilities. In good web design it is increasingly difficult to spot where the design stops and where the content begins. Whether via the introduction of interactive infographics, or videos containing branching scenarios, my film-maker skills play an important role in the development of award winning website and digital experiences.

ABOUT MARK SENIOR
Over the last 15 years working in creative communications I have developed a unique set of skills. As a creative, I am a free-thinker, able to ideate and innovate and bring people along on the journey. As a leader, I am organised, methodical and disciplined. I am focused on technical excellence, but driven by human relationships. I was called a ‘well-rounded individual’ in my first official school report, and this natural enthusiasm and openness to new ideas, pushed me via journalism and entertainment TV into corporate film production - the perfect environment to learn and develop a broad range of skills. Before the age of thirty I had filmed around the world, in a host of environments from oil tankers to sewers, from laboratories to donut factories. In doing so, I also learnt about the importance of good communication, attention to detail, flexibility and hard-work. I started to master my craft and industry awards followed regularly. However, I am most proud of the friendships that I forged with some of the best creative talent in the UK and beyond. In recent years new challenges have arrived: to build and grow a team, to navigate Covid-19, to help shape a changing business with new ownership and direction, to deliver consistently high-quality creative to solve our client’s challenges. I have successfully risen to each challenge with passion and kindness. I am still what I’ve always been: a concoction of personality types, with a diverse set of interests but after 15 years in creative comms, that makes you pretty formidable.
