ABOUT MARK SEBERRY
I am constantly curious. I love learning how things work and using this understanding to drive improvements. I also like to try new approaches that can make a real difference to a business. This might use anything from the hard engineering skills I developed in the creation of a novel collapsible satellite dish to the softer human understanding needed to lead Hydrock’s response to the pandemic. I don\'t just come up with ideas, I have a proven track record of delivery, and not just the engineering and technology but all the people and process changes that are also needed.I am an effective, empathetic leader with a proven track record in driving positive change across an 800-person Business. My understanding of the construction and energy markets, along with my forensic knowledge of built environment consultancies, allows me to identify the most effective ‘levers’ for innovation in this sector. This may mean: building new capabilities from scratch, rolling out the use of new technology and processes, or acquiring and integrating new business. My experience in each of these approaches along with my in-depth understanding of business strategy allows me to recommend the optimal approach to fulfil a business’ strategic goals, and to subsequently deliver the required improvement.Recent successes include:• Preparing and presenting the operational information to support a successful sale to Stantec• Forming of the ‘Innovation Delivery’ team whose digital automation programme will deliver hours saved this year • Managing the acquisition and integration of two new businesses and designing the playbook for subsequent acquisitions• Defining our approach to developing and communicating business strategy• Building insights and analytics teams allowing us to target new markets and assess potential products• Initiating our product development process (with three new products in development)
