ABOUT MARK ROCKS

As a Group IT Manager for Advanta Wealth Ltd, part of the growing Advanta Group, I oversee the IT strategy and infrastructure for a diverse portfolio of financial services companies. Our mission is to provide comprehensive and tailored advice for both corporate and personal clients.In this dynamic role, I manage the IT infrastructure for our group, encompassing eight businesses across four sites and supporting 90 users. This includes remote workforce support, Windows virtualized servers, a VOIP telephone system, multiple CRM systems, IT security, disaster recovery planning, printing solutions, online presence, and PC support. Since 2021, the Advanta Group has successfully completed seven acquisitions, and I have been instrumental in ensuring seamless IT integration throughout this expansion.I take pride in our successful migration from legacy 2003 Dell servers to a virtualized environment powered by Server 2008, Exchange 2010, VMWare, SAN, and Storagecraft ShadowProtect. Additionally, I have played a key role in the seamless transition to Office 365 and Azure, further enhancing our operational efficiency.As an active volunteer and organizer for the Advanta Foundation, our charitable trust has raised and donated over to children\'s charities at home and abroad. I am committed to supporting this worthy cause.Prior to joining Advanta Wealth Ltd, I honed my skills as an IT Support Engineer for Ayrshire & Arran NHS, servicing two sites and more than staff.I am passionate about exploring new technologies to drive business growth and streamline processes across departments.
