I am an engineering manager/team lead with more than 25 years of professional experience in IT, with a passion for people development, taking a servant leadership approach. I build diverse and highly productive teams by creating safe and collaborative environments, where engineers have fun and can thrive. I encourage and empower people to contribute, and enable teams to deliver real value by implementing efficient and effective team structures and processes.I started my career as a software developer for web services. I worked as a system administrator in corporate IT, and managed data center infrastructure and web applications as a systems engineer. I then took over my first project lead role, and moved on to team lead/engineering manager roles.The teams I had the pleasure of working with provide services to other teams in their respective organization, be it as corporate IT team or as DevOps/platform team, providing infrastructure as a service in public clouds to other teams, enabling those teams to focus on developing applications, instead of wasting time managing their own infrastructure. My teams apply software development best practices like CI/CD and configuration as code to achieve reproducible high quality results.
