ABOUT MARK MELVIN

I solve complex problems at the intersection of hardware, firmware, and software with a healthy dose of Product Management. With 20+ years bridging mechanical engineering, embedded systems, and audio DSP, I\'ve brought silicon from first power-on to production, built developer tools used by hundreds of engineers, and shipped products for the hearing aid and AI inference markets. I\'m currently the voice of the customer in a Senior Technical Product Management role.My sweet spot: Ultra-low-power embedded systems, real-time audio processing, and Python tooling that makes hardware engineers\' lives easier. I love debugging the \"impossible\" problems—whether it\'s a silicon bug, embedded race condition, or optimizing DSP algorithms for extreme power constraints.Currently exploring remote opportunities where I can combine deep technical work with meaningful impact. Particularly interested in audio technology, developer tooling, or mission-driven companies tackling climate challenges. Open to a pure development \"generalist\" role or Senior/VP of Product.Based in Waterloo, ON | Open to remote roles across North America and EuropeWhen I\'m not debugging embedded systems, I\'m building guitar effects and playing in bands
