   Even with full-time plus career paths, such as the chamber of commerce director, I\'ve managed to pursue a love of broadcasting, due to its part-time nature. Sometimes, when traveling to places as far away as Gillette, Wyoming (I can drive to Las Vegas from Evanston in less time) for a football sportscast, with a seven hour return trip on the other side of the 3.5 hours on the air, I question the part-time designation. Was part of a two-person and a solo morning show, mostly Top-40 and classic rock formats through 2010, and still miss it, but the free-style nature of creating that \"theater of the mind\" imagery for listeners, while the action happens before my very eyes, is still the pinnacle of fun in broadcasting for me. With somewhere in the neighborhood of a thousand \"calls\" since \'86-\'87, when coupling football with basketball, and occasionally others sports, play-by-play never, ever gets old!
