ABOUT MARK BERRY

My day job is moving airplanes from point A to point B. Point B is really nice this time of year, great weather, friendly people, but I digress. By night I\'m a writer which has been my serious passion for about 6 years now (\'though I\'ve always enjoyed it). I completed my memoir \"13,760 Feet-Still Flying after TWA 800\" and I\'m polishing it while I hunt for a literary agent and publisher. There are 26 companion songs. I\'ve also written two novels \"Pushing Leaves Towards the Sun\" and \"Street Justice.\" They develop 23 songs combined, and I like to say they\'re \"Novels that Rock!\" The Children\'s Illustrated Music Novel titled \"Larry the Blue Dolphin\" that I co-wrote with Steve Schafer is agent-represented. We boiled his word story into a dozen original songs. Look for me in Airways magazine where I\'m a regular contributor. Appearances also in AOPA Flight Training, TARPA Topics, Rogue, and BMW Owners News magazines, Write This literary journal, Connecticut Newspapers, and online in ERAU\'s EaglesNEST. I earned an MFA in creative writing at Fairfield University and served as the Managing Editor for Mason\'s Road literary magazine while enrolled. Cheers! MLB Specialties: I recently got my 20 year tie tack from American Airlines (which combines my and TWA and AA years of service). I\'m an MD80 Captain and I\'ve been a lot of things since my first position as a B727 Flight Engineer based in Berlin as a 1988 newhire. I\'ve been a Check Airman on 3 different aircraft types (727, 757 & 767, and MD80) and I spent 6 years in these various dark shaking simulators teaching and practicing emergency procedures.
