Lighthouse has been collaborating with the Veterans Health Administration since 2020 on a VR based program called \"The Retreat\" to support Substance Use Disorder therapy. The Retreat is an open world immersive experience, a cabin on a lake, with 17 sessions covering Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), coping and life strategies, SUD specific topics (triggers, relapse, etc), meditation and mindfulness training,\"gamified\" interactive learning and diversionary activities.
