I’m a people guy. I’m the one whose office chair is usually occupied by a colleague in the midst of a challenging project. It’s not necessarily that I’m smarter or more clever than they are. In fact, I have been very fortunate thus far in my career to have worked alongside some very bright individuals. What I’ve come to realize is that it’s not “the answer” that most people are after - it’s someone to listen, someone to relate, someone to empathize. People buy from, work with, and generally seek out people that they like. This understanding paired with a competitive and curious spirit is what differentiates me as a business developer and leader.
