When I formed the firm that is now Mark H. Smith, Inc. in 1983 I made the decision to focus my efforts on the credit union system for two reasons. First, my experience up to that time convinced me that credit union people were down to earth and great to work with. Second, credit unions offer individuals a choice in where they receive financial services and I think that choice is important. That decision is one of the best I have ever made. Mark H. Smith, Inc. is a credit union specific consulting firm based in Salt Lake City, Utah. We are focused on providing outsourced interest rate risk and liquidity risk analysis. We currently serve about 400 credit unions of all sizes in over 40 states. We also provide deposit analysis and third party reviews of the interest rate risk management process. We strive for the highest level of expertise and professionalism.
