At MSKCC, I specialize in cryo-electron microscopy and membrane protein biochemistry. I routinely collect high-resolution data across five Titan Krios microscopes at MSKCC and Rockefeller University. My work involves purifying challenging organelle membrane proteins and designing functional proteoliposome assays to characterize their activity. I also perform tissue culture, transfecting mammalian cells to produce and optimize expression of target proteins. This multidisciplinary approach allows me to investigate structure-function relationships with precision, from the atomic level to cellular context.
