   Mark joined the Ruth Ellis Center as Director of Programs in August of 2011 and transitioned to Director of Development & Advancement in January 2013. In February 2022, after the retirement of the Center\'s previous Executive Director, the Center\'s board named Erwin Interim Co-Executive Director. After a nationwide search and comprehensive interview process, Erwin was named Executive Director in November 2022. The Executive Director is the key management leader of the Ruth Ellis Center and is responsible for ensuring a vision and strategy to fulfill the organization’s mission. The Executive Director works closely with the leadership team to align the mission and vision and that we are working together to successfully achieve strategic objectives. The director is responsible for overseeing the administration, programs, and strategic plan of the center. Other key responsibilities include fundraising and community outreach. Erwin previously served as the Director of the well-known after-school program School of Rock in Minnesota’s Twin Cities, serving more than three hundred youth and their families. While at School of Rock, Erwin helped to establish a comprehensive scholarship fund from which more than 15% of the youth and families of the School now benefit.Erwin graduated from Interlochen Center for the Arts in Interlochen, Michigan, and the Institute of Production and Recording in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He holds a Certificate in Fundraising Management (CFRM) from Indiana University, Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, and is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP).
