About Mark Ellsworth
Throughout a 40-year public accounting career, I established myself as a professional skilled in financial analysis, business strategy, leadership, communication and facilitation. I have served clients in a broad range of industries during my career, including insurance, manufacturing, construction, professional services and wholesale distribution. I was presented with the Iowa Governor’s Volunteer Award in 1994 for my work in community economic development. In 2007 I was inducted as a member of the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies NAMIC Merit Society, and in 2009, I was bestowed with the PRIME Award by the Mutual Insurance Association of Iowa for my lifetime volunteer service to the training and education of the Association’s members. I currently serve on the board of directors and chair the audit committee for The IMT Insurance Company, a regional P&C insurance company, and IMT Corporation, a technology services provider, both based in West Des Moines, Iowa. I am also a member of the board of directors and the investment and audit committees at Farmers Mutual of Tennessee in Knoxville, Tennessee. I\'m passionate about assisting small businesses to achieve their vision of success.In addition to my career aspirations, I am devoted to improving the lives of children. For the past 15 years, I have shaved my head in solidarity with childhood cancer victims throughout the world as part of a fundraising activity to provide research grants through St. Baldrick’s Foundation. I am an active member of Omaha West Rotary and currently serve as the club’s Treasurer and Membership Committee chairman.My favorite quote comes from Theodore Roosevelt, the 26th President of the United States:\"People don\'t care how much you know until they know how much you care.\"
