About Mark Steele
An artist, musician, wilderness athlete, and entrepreneur, Mark has spent 30 years in print and digital media. Since he has been director of New Moon Multimedia, a freelance design company specializing in interactive digital technology. Previously he was the art director and production manager for MountainFreak, an international environmental and adventure culture magazine. He has also served as virtual art director for several companies and non-profit organizations, including the Valley Floor Preservation Partners, for whom he designed the identity system and web site that were instrumental in raising $25 million in just three months to preserve open space in Telluride, Colorado. From 2004 to 2015 he was Art & Creative Director and Web Master for Blue Planet Network, a global non-profit with an online platform supporting almost 100 safe drinking water NGOs. Since then he has focussed his efforts managing marketing and web for Boulder Luxury Group while supporting half a dozen local non-profits with design, web and consulting. Mark is currently Creative Director for Boulder.Earth, a dynamic, grassroots site and community geared to increase engagement and climate action of individuals, businesses, schools and governments, which he helped launch in 2018. He is also a team member of Drawdown Hemp.He has a keen sense of the \"big picture\" and prefers to think and design out of the box.Specialties: Non-profit strategy, Flash design and authoring, logo and info-graphic animation, mixed media collage, Wordpress, audio recording, composition, soundtracks, design of all things digital.
