Advise utility clients on the development of innovative business models to address new consumer demands, slow or non-existent load growth, increasing prevalence of distributed energy resources (“DER”), and reliability-related modernization investments. • Provide business and regulatory expertise to utility executives evaluating how new technologies will change their business. Technologies include: Electric Vehicles, Advanced Metering Infrastructure; software tools for DER integration, dispatch, and management (“DERMS”); data analytics engines; and energy storage systems. • Advise large utilities (ConEd, Orange & Rockand, National Grid, AVANGRID, and Central Hudson) on strategy related to New York’s landmark Reforming the Energy Vision (“REV”) proceeding. Develop regulatory strategies and filings focused on technical and regulatory innovations. Develop documentation for pilot projects that will test new market models and modernize New York’s energy infrastructure. • Manage teams in the execution of advisory consulting assignments pertaining to a wide array of energy industry challenges including: energy data analytics, identification of investment opportunities for strategic investors, economic analysis of large capital programs, assessment of risk in commercial and negotiating strategies, capital cost recovery, and utility integrated resource planning. • Manage business development initiatives and foster client relationships. • Establish and lead Concentric’s Utility of the Future practice area: develop business and marketing plans, and revenue and growth projections. Develop new, innovation-oriented service offerings based on Concentric’s core regulatory expertise. Lead business development efforts, manage customer engagements, and coordinate practice area development. • Manage a team of consultants across Concentric’s offices (establishing goals and employee development plans, preparation and delivery of performance reviews, handle compensation, etc.).
