While I love knowing the theory about how and why things work, I\'m really an \"applied\" guy, who wants to apply what I know to solve customers\' problems.I am a veteran ontologist and knowledge graph engineer since 2004 (before we called them knowlege graphs!). I serve as an expert consultant and wrench-turner on real-world semantic knowledge graphs (OWL/RDF) for many clients including the Fortune 100. I also have extensive experience in software development as both individual contributor, team leader, and systems engineer, on both R&D and commercial product sides. Skills and tool knowledge include: OWL Ontologies, SPARQL, RDFS, RDF, SHACL, Stardog, Anzograph, RDF4J, Allegrograph, Marklogic for semantics, Java, python, RESTful services, RDF-star, Amazon Neptune, Apache Rya, Apache Jena, Tarql, Protege OWL editor, Neo4j. I am a user and contributor on Gist, the minimalist upper ontology by Semantic Arts. I have extensive experience leading and being a team member under the agile Scrum methodology. I have past experience with Machine Learning (MALLET), XWiki, Semantic MediaWiki, Accumulo, Hadoop Map/Reduce, JUnit, XSLT.I have been a speaker and teacher in the Semantic Web community since 2009.

   Mark is an ontologist and software architect/developer with decades of experience designing and building software and data-centric systems for government and commercial clients. He got into the Semantic Web in 2004, and his experience ranges from pure ontology development to large scale RDF applications with billions of triples. Mark has been an author and invited speaker in the Semantic Web community since 2009. With Semantic Arts, Mark gets to apply a broad range of skills including ontology modeling, software development, and project management. Mark holds a Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science from the University of Central Florida.(Go Knights!)
