Qualified mechanical design engineer with over 20 years experience working with structural steel, high tolerance assemblies, complex machines, plastic mouldings and carbon fibre technologyTechnology includes: CAD/CAE systems – Solidworks,Pro/Engineer Creo, Autocad, Inventor, Solidworks Simulation, Solidworks CFD, Staad Pro, ANSYS Finite Element Analysis software. Achievements:• Leader of a product development team delivering replacement plastic tank solutions for the agricultural market. The tanks were produced from initial conception, with customer brief, through R&D to full manufacture. The designs reduced the weight and manual handling restrictions traditionally associated with these products, whilst increasing capacity and reducing maintenance and servicing costs.• Part of design team which developed automotive pedal boxes which actively reduced the level of ankle injuries produced in traffic collisions. • Part of design team, which employed the “family of parts” concept to the deep drilling industry.
