About Mark B.
As an electricity and natural gas utility professional with a current emphasis in Energy Procurement, I leverage 29 years of active involvement in deregulated natural gas and power markets and tacit knowledge to ensure the lowest cost solutions for clients\' energy spend challenges. I have diverse experience in markets across Canada and the US, working with end-use customers, vendors, utilities, and retail energy marketers. I have been responsible for or participated in almost $100 million in retail energy procurement across 22 North American states and provinces. In addition to my energy procurement role, I am also a Managing Director at Energy Guidance Group, where I have managed multiple consulting projects for a diverse group of clients in the energy industry. I have delivered economic analysis/market research, marketing, business development, business planning, rate case analysis, tariff analysis, and advisory services that have added millions to the bottom lines of clients and employers. I am a Certified Public Accountant, with a passion for learning new products, processes, technology, skills, and personal development.
