About Mark Brown
Mark Brown is an executive leader with 25+ years of diverse experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, including strategic planning, management consulting, business operations, clinical trial operations, account management, sales, brand management including new product launch, and business-to-business (B2B) marketing.Mark is currently Vice President and Chief of Staff to the CEO at Precision Medicine Group. Previously, Mark was the Executive Director of Business Operations at ICON, where he led a team of ~40 that provided operational support in the areas of Strategic Initiatives Management, Project Support, Resource Forecasting and Management, Quality Management, Analytics & Reporting, Proposal Development, Client Contracting and Invoicing.Prior to ICON, Mark was on the brand team for NUCALA at GlaxoSmithKline. In this role, Mark led the development and implementation of several new strategic programs, including a machine learning/artificial intelligence-driven sales force targeting and call planning solution called Veeva Suggestions, as well as a comprehensive social media strategy targeted at healthcare providers, and an unbranded disease education digital website and ad campaign. Mark has also participated in market research, positioning and messaging, and brand strategy projects. Prior to joining GlaxoSmithKline, Mark was the Sr. Director of Strategy & Business Operations at IQVIA (formerly Quintiles). Mark led annual strategic planning and other projects in support of the President, including developing a strategy to turnaround an underperforming business, and leading the acquisition and integration of two small companies. While at Quintiles, Mark was also a Director of New Solution Development. In this role, Mark led cross-functional teams to develop and launch new service offerings that drove increased sales and new strategic customer partnerships. Prior to joining Quintiles, Mark was a Senior Consultant in the consulting division of inVentiv Health (now Syneos Health). Mark also held the role of Marketing Director where he led development and implementation of annual marketing strategy and tactical plans. Before Campbell Alliance, Mark was a sales representative with Novartis Pharmaceuticals, where he received recognition for turning around an under-performing territory as he promoted category-leading hypertension products and a niche type 2 diabetes product. Mark also worked in clinical trial operations at the Duke Clinical Research Institute (DCRI) and the Immune Tolerance Network (ITN).
