With deep experience in both public and private sectors, he bridges policy with design, always focused on place-based economic sustainability. His passion for urban revitalization is evident in the many long-range plans and design frameworks he\'s led, including award-winning projects in Coronado and Encinitas, both named “Great American Main Streets.”Mark is an expert in the Main Street Approach and a strong advocate for design-based economic development. His specialties include downtown specific plans, form-based codes, historic design guidelines, and zoning strategies that respect and enhance community identity.
