In the mutual fund and investment adviser areas, I have assisted clients with developing a variety of investment company and investment advisory products, including domestic and international funds, asset allocation, real estate and index funds, principal protection funds and long/short funds, in addition to providing them with ongoing representation. I have extensive experience with portfolio management issues, multi-manager funds, “funds-of-funds” (including funds of ETFs), compliance programs, and acquisitions of investment companies and complexes. I have worked with clients of varying sizes and regularly deal with the SEC, FINRA and other regulators on regulatory matters.In the insurance products area, I advise insurance companies on issues relating to the sale of variable annuities and variable life insurance. I regularly assist clients with registering products and separate accounts, obtaining exemptive orders, and complying with sales practice and other requirements.
