ABOUT MARK ADAMS
Mark is a global minerals and metals executive and champion for a net zero future. He has over 20 years\' experience in projects, engineering, operations, and technology leading P & Ls over $200 million CAD. He has worked in progressively senior roles with some of the top mining companies in the world including BHP, Rio Tinto, Glencore, Teck, Freeport-McMoRan, Metso, AtkinsRéalis, and Sedgman. He holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mining Engineering and a Master of Business Administration both from the University of British Columbia as well as executive education from Oxford and Aalto Universities and the Institute of Corporate Directors. He is a registered Professional Engineer in British Columbia, a Fellow of Engineers Canada, and an Honourary Fellow of Geoscientists Canada. In 2021, he was included on Business in Vancouver\'s 40 Under 40 list and named one of the 500 Most Influential Business Leaders in BC in 2022 and 2023. Alongside his full-time work, Mark is well-known for his professional and community service having worked 13 years as a reserve officer in the Canadian Armed Forces while also sitting on boards and committees for numerous non-profit organizations advocating for youth, seniors, veterans, education, healthcare, and engineering. For this work, he has been recognized with the Canadian Sovereign’s Medal for Volunteers and the Canadian Mineral Processors\' Ray MacDonald Volunteer Award.
