Responsibilities: During this job role, I led and expanded State of Kansas Information Security Monitoring team to build new functionalities and scale operations. I directed and managed security tech team and oversaw firewalls, IPS/IDS, SIEM, UEBA, VPN, TAPS, and other critical security tools. I spearheaded and managed RFP processes and conducted in-depth research to identify and procure new security tools for Kansas Information Security Office (SIEM, UEBA, Security Intelligence).Key Achievements: Directed design and deployment of security metrics and developed internal and customer-facing dashboards to enhance visibility and reporting. Supervised daily operations of security operations and monitoring teams to drive efficiency and proactive threat detection. Administered and optimized security services for state agencies to deliver technical consulting and tool-based solutions. Provided strategic oversight of operations security architecture to ensure alignment with organizational security goals.
