About Mark Williams
As the Chief Financial Officer at My Community Credit Union, I oversaw the financial, audit and compliance operations and strategy of a $500 million asset organization that serves over members. With over 27 years of experience in the credit union industry, I have developed expertise in accounting, finance, reporting, data warehouse, investments, asset-liability management, pricing, liquidity management, budgeting, audit, compliance, secondary marketing for loan participations, and credit analysis, as well as strong leadership and communication skills. Serving on the Executive Leadership Team for 12 years, I assisted in Operations, Lending, and IT. I earned an MBA from The University of Texas Permian Basin, working full-time at My Community Credit Union, whilst maintaining a 4.0 GPA, which has enhanced my business acumen and analytical abilities. Previously, I served as the President/CEO of Southwest 66 Credit Union, where I led the turnaround of a troubled institution and achieved positive net income and capital growth. I also worked as an Examiner at the National Credit Union Administration, where I evaluated the safety and soundness of credit unions and provided regulatory guidance and assistance. My mission is to provide quality financial products and services to the members and communities I serve, while ensuring the financial stability and sustainability of the credit union. I am passionate about the cooperative principles and values that guide the credit union movement, and I strive to foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence among my team and peers.
