I have been seconded as the Interim Head of IT Risk in the First Line of Defence at a blue chip insurer, I have worked with multiple insurers to design their Target Operating Model and proposed improvement initiatives in relation to IT risk governance models, I have designed and documented policy and standard suites for Technology functions, analysed control frameworks and performed gap analyses against industry recognised standards such as COBIT, and NIST, as well as key regulations such as SS1/21, and SS2/21.I particularly focus on and enjoy working with my clients to support their first line of defence initiatives, improving the maturity of their first line of defence capabilities, and leveraging the broad range of experience I have working with my clients to deliver effective improvements.

I am an experienced IT risk practitioner in the Financial Services sector, with 18+ years of experience working in an incredibly broad range of roles at Deloitte UK. Starting as a graduate earning my ACA qualification, I have worked may way up to Director within the Firm.My industry specialism is in Financial Services predominantly Life and General Insurance, and the regional Building Societies sector. In these sector areas I have operated in a number of high profile roles and significant projects (in both a delivery and assurance capacity), and alongside more core skill set of IT risk management across the three lines of defence, I have considerable experience of governance and control of strategic change programmes.My signature experience is in:i) Helping organisations with their strategy, governance, target operating model, and service catalogue in relation to IT risk management. I have been seconded as the Interim Head of IT Risk Management - First Line at a bluechip insurance company, and I have worked with a number of other Insurance companies in an advisory capacity in order to advise them on various strategic matters relating to their IT risk management capability.ii) Playing a lead role within the Deloitte UK firm for the management and delivery of IT Internal Audit services to a wide portfolio of clients centred on Insurance clients and regional building societies.
