I am a partner with Clark Wilson LLP. I am the firm’s senior estate and trust litigator. I am a frequent lecturer, presenter and author on issues related to estate and trust litigation and adult guardianship issues. I have acted as counsel in a wide spectrum of estate and trust litigation, such as Wills Variation Act claims, negligent or fraudulent estate administration and wills and trusts interpretation, as well as committeeships, power of attorney disputes and claims including elder abuse. A number of my cases have involved novel points of law and complex factual issues related to legal obligations of executors and committees, powers of attorney, trust claims and gender discrimination. For many years, I coordinated the authorship of Chapters 4 and 6 of the BC Continuing Legal Education Society’s Probate Estate Administration Practice Manual, a leading resource for wills and estates practitioners.I have been interviewed by a range of media with respect to my legal work and community representation, including: Globe and Mail, Seattle Post-Intelligencer, Buffalo Democracy & Chronicle, National Post, Financial Post, Vancouver Sun, Ottawa Citizen, Victoria Times Colonist, Winnipeg Post, Vancouver Province, CBC Radio, CBC Television, CTV Television, Business in Vancouver, City TV, Ming Pao Daily News, Hindu News and Chinese American Forum.For a selection of case references please see the section on case citations.
