C-IED & Search Instructor Supervisor Optima Group, the world leader in threat, environment and user driven counter-threat capability development. • Designed and delivered Hand Held Detector Operator and Instructor Training to 1800 front line soldiers for the UK MoD in Afghanistan. • Delivered Search Instructor and Specialist Search Adviser training to participating students from 9 member states of the EDA. • Delivered Hostile Environment training including C-IED to the ICRC Weapon Contamination Division. • Instructed, mentored and assessed personnel from the Royal Saudi Arabian Military; during International Mine Action Standard (IMAS) compliant EOD courses up to level 3. • Advised and was appointed the subject matter expert on all Search and C-IED matters in the Sangin District of Afghanistan. • Planned, coordinated and executed High Risk Search tasks on planned Operations in high threat environments to allow freedom of movement for both the Security Forces and Local Nationals. • Managed, planned and conducted Conventional Munitions Disposal operations to allow these areas to be remediated. • Led a quick reaction team and planned and conducted high risk Search operations at short notice in high threat IED environments in order to allow freedom of movement to Security Forces and Local Nationals.
