As the Head of Technology Flight Production at TUI, I have nearly 20 years of experience in the airline technology sector, specializing in Reservation and Passenger Service Systems. My journey began with the start-up low-cost airline HLX.com (Hapag-Lloyd Express) from TUI, where I was integral to the team responsible for the Reservation and Passenger Service System.Throughout my career, I have been at the forefront of numerous transformations within TUI’s airline business. From merging two German airlines and evolving our business model to creating the new brand tuifly.com, I have consistently driven innovation and change. I supported the UK business in introducing the same system, integrated the BE and NL businesses into the German system, and ultimately merged two parallel systems, so that all TUI Airlines were on the same system.Starting as a team member, I quickly demonstrated my capabilities and took on increasing responsibilities. I led key projects and initiatives, which paved the way for my promotion to team lead. My leadership and strategic vision were recognized, and I eventually took over the entire department. I also championed the transition to a fully agile Scrum approach, fostering clear product definitions and a culture of servant leadership.My passion for innovation has been recognized with two innovation awards, and I have been the initiator or a key contributor to many more innovative solutions throughout my career. I thrive on developing teams and departments, driving technological change, and am very focused on delivering results.
