The northeast is a hub of activity when it comes to architecture and design, and right in the midst of it is Mark T. Weiner. Located in Barrington, Rhode Island, Mark supplies the New England architecture and design community with critical information that assists them in specifying the best coatings for new construction and rehabilitation projects. As an Architectural Account Executive for Sherwin-Williams, North America’s largest paint and coatings manufacturer, Mark has spent his career acquiring and sharing his knowledge of new paint technologies and applications. During his 40 year’s tenure with Sherwin-Williams, Mark has also held the positions of Assistant Manager and Professional Coatings Representative, which helped build his in-depth product knowledge. Among the paint specifiers, architects and designers he currently serves, the industry veteran has built a solid reputation as the go-to expert for data and systems recommendations on all types of architectural and industrial coatings. Mark’s goal as an Architectural Account Executive is to ensure that Sherwin-Williams leads the industry in meeting the needs of architecture and design professionals. Mark is an active member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) Industry Foundation, Construction Specifications Institute (CSI), Painting & Decorating Contractors of America (PDCA), Society for Protective Coatings (SSPC), American Institute of Architects (AIA), and Boston Society of Architects (BSA). Much of Mark’s time is spent sharing his product and market knowledge through college classes and seminars for professionals. Area’s of expertise Green, Leed and MPI. His areas of expertise include the chemical make-up of paint, color and specifications, and low-temperature coatings.
