Siemens Mobility are developing a brand-new train manufacturing plant and supply chain rail village in Goole, in East Yorkshire, UK. The Company is investing up to £200 million into a state-of-the-art sustainable manufacturing facility and recruiting a highly skilled work force to deliver Rolling Stock for the UK. Initial business start-up activities include fit-out of the purpose built 67-acre site, technology transfer of assembly activities from a sister plant in Vienna and the recruitment and onboarding of up to 300 employees. New Piccadilly line tube and future main line trains are to be built at the facility with first production activities expect to start early 2024.
