ABOUT MARK SMITH
I have the privilege of working with some of the best-known companies in the world, supporting them in achieving superior performance. As a trusted partner I always look to better understand my clients’ businesses, their key objectives and what drives them individually. With this understanding I bring – or build – tailored solutions to address their needs, to better manage their people agenda and the risks that they face. As a qualified actuary I have an eye for the detail but never lose sight of the big picture in driving forward a strategic agenda. Having held a number of different roles over the years I can draw on a variety of experiences and skills to better serve my clients – at times helped considerably by being a native German speaker. I am passionate about supporting others in their professional development, be it through mentoring, informal coaching, training or simply creating an environment where everyone has an equal voice. Promoting inclusion and diversity in all forms plays a key role in my teams’ successes, and I have a particular personal emphasis (and experience) in the area of neurodiversity. As a member of my local Round Table I actively support my local community, raising money and donating to those in need, as well as organising events that bring people together.
